Patrick breaks B-W school record in shotput

Western Reserve’s All-American thrower Greg Patrick set a Baldwin-Wallace school record in the shot put with a mark of 54 feet, 10 inches on Saturday at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte 49er Classic at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center.
The previous mark was set by Jim Tillotson in 1975, with a throw of 54’4.5". Patrick placed second overall in a field consisting heavily of Division I competitors and hit a high provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Championship meet in late May.
