Krewson racking up honors at Bucknell
Perkins’ Trisha Krewson was named Second Team All-Patriot League for the Bucknell Bisons, announced on Tuesday.
Krewson, who was selected as the Patriot League Rookie of the Year last season, is the 16th Bison to earn the second team honor.
In just her second season, Krewson led the Bison in scoring with 12.5 points per game, including a 14.0 scoring average in Patriot League play. The guard’s .409 three-point field goal percentage (56-for-137) is also tops among Bison and ranks in the top 40 nationally.
Krewson reached a number of career marks leading to her first Player of the Week honor from the league in January. Krewson totaled 30 points against Lycoming, shooting 10-for-16 from the field and 8-for-12 from three-point distance.
Krewson then went on to total 25 points on 7-for-11 shooting from three-point distance in Bucknell’s next game at Buffalo.
The second-team selection is the second postseason award for Krewson in her young career. In addition to being named Bucknell’s fifth Patriot League Rookie of the Year last season, she also earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Her honors have come in the classroom as well, being voted ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team selection last month after posting a 3.97 GPA while majoring in English and minoring in Spanish.
