Russ picks Cincinnati to play football
ELYRIA, Ohio - Elyria Catholic's Josh Russ has decided to continue his football career at Cincinnati University, who won the Big East championship and played in the Orange Bowl last year.
"Cincinnati has a great campus, strong academic programs, and an outstanding football staff that has quickly built a national contenter," Russ said in a press release. "When given the opportunity to join such a great program and attend such a proud university, I was eager to commit, and my family was very supportive ... I look forward to spending my college years becoming the best I can be on and off the football field."
Last season at Elyria Catholic, Russ caught 32 passes for 705 yards and nine touchdowns, which earned him Division III All-Ohio, All-Lorain County and All-North Coast League first team. He was also second team All-North Coast League as a sophomore.
