Lowe goes 4-for-5 with 2-run homer for Vikings
YPSILANTI, Michigan - Perkins’ Josh Lowe went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run for Cleveland State in a 16-5 loss to Eastern Michigan last week at Oestrike Stadium.
Lowe led the Viking offense, totaling four of CSU's 10 hits. He finished 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. His fifth homer of the season tied him for second-best on the team.
Lowe, a sophomore catcher, is currently third in batting with a .357 batting average. He has played in 31 games, including 26 starts. He also has seven doubles, a triple and 22 RBI’s, which is third-best on the team.
Southview’s John Brown has played in 17 games, including seven starts. He’s hitting .342 with four doubles, a home run and 10 RBIs.
Cleveland State is currently 14-22 overall and 6-8 in the Horizon League. The Vikings are 6-4 at Lorain’s Pipe Yard, but have had quite a few games cancelled due to the weather.
