Rua becomes all-time leading home run hitter at Lake Erie College

The Storm, playing in their first home game of the season, homered five times, including three by Rua, to win by scores of 15-5 and 11-9. With the wins, Lake Erie ran its winning streak to four games and evened its record at 8-8 for its best record this late in the season in the program’s nine-year history.
The three homers by Rua put his career total at 18, one more than Ben Reed had from 2006-09. He leads the team with seven homers on the season.
Rua went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and homered twice in the opener as the Storm broke open a one-run game with a four-run third inning and then put it away with a seven-run fifth.
Rua blasted a two-run home run to straight-away centerfield, in the second game that tied the game and officially become the Storm’s leading home run hitter of all-time.
