Brookside’s Kyleigh Whitsel has decided to continue her volleyball career at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Whitsel, a 5-foot-7 setter/defensive specialist, was a key component in the success Brookside had in the past four years.

Whitsel was named first team All-Northeast District and was honorable mention Lorain County Miss Volleyball. She had 809 assists last season and holds the top two spots in the OHSAA record book for most assists in a match with 72 and 66. She is sixth all-time in assists with 2,569.
