Clyde’s Kayla Gerber was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week last week for her outstanding performance.

Gerber picked up a pair of wins on Saturday in a OAC opener at Muskingum University.

At second doubles, Gerber teamed up with Darcy Young to post an 8-5 victory. For the year, the duo are 5-3 thus far.

She then followed that win with another in singles action. She scored a hard-fought 6-1, 6-7 (7-9), 1-0 (10-6) win in her second singles spot. She improved her singles mark to 6-1.
