Elber having great freshman season in leading Yellow Jackets
Edison’s Ashley Elber is having a stellar freshman season at Baldwin-Wallace, playing for the softball team.
Elber went 7-for-13, for a .538 batting average and the Yellow Jackets won all four games they played, extending their winning streak to five. She also scored six runs, had a double, two home runs and three RBIs to go with a stolen base.
Elber is batting a team-leading .430 (40-for-93) with 26 runs scored, a team-high 40 hits, including 10 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 16 RBIs and five steals. In the field, Elber has a .909 fielding average with just three errors in 33 total attempts.
