Richey-Obey earns NCAA recognition

The bowling Lady Pirates were recipients of the NCAA Public Recognition Award.
The honor is bestowed on those teams that have a Division I Academic Progress Rate in the Top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports.
Richey-Obey bowled on Southview’s first bowling team and bowled all four years of high school. She averaged a 178 her senior season. She is also a three-time Pepsi-Cola Scholar Athlete. She helped the Saints qualify for the state tournament in 2007, placed second in the County and third at Districts.
Southview graduate Jazzminn Richey-Obey is part of the Hampton University bowling team that was recently recognized by the NCAA.
