Vermilion graduate Adam Beach was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Pitcher of the Week.

Beach pitched arguably the best game of his career last Saturday in a 2-1 win over Wayne State University at Classic Park. He held the Warriors to just one run and one hit in the complete game victory. Beach worked his way around five walks by matching his career high with nine strikeouts.

On the season, Beach leads the Storm staff in games started, innings pitched, wins and strikeouts for the second straight year. In 11 games, including 10 starts, he is 4-4 with a 5.51 ERA and has pitched three complete games.
