Krewson transfers to Kent State, will sit out this season

Perkins’ Trisha Krewson has transferred to Kent State to continue her basketball career. She will have to sit out the 2010-11 season due to NCAA transfer restrictions and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining starting with the 2011-12 campaign.

As a sophomore at Bucknell, Krewson was named a second-team All-Patriot League performer after leading the Bisons with a 12.4 points per game average.

Last season, she was named to ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II first team, while also earning Patriot League Honor Roll accolades. She scored a career-high 30 points against Lycoming (Dec. 30, 2009).

As a freshman, she played in 28 games, including 18 starts and was named the 2009 Patriot League Rookie of the Year.

At Perkins, she was selected as a McDonald’s All-America nominee as a senior after scoring over 1,000 points for her high school career. She was named All-Ohio Second Team in 2008 and All-Ohio Honorable Mention in 2007. She was also a three-time All-SBC First Teamer and All-District First Teamer.
