Garrett scores 17 in loss to Schoolcraft
Sandusky’s Greg Garrett scored a team-high 17 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and added three assists and two steals for Owens Community College, as it lost to Schoolcraft College, 70-63 on Wednesday.
The game featured 15 ties and 21 lead changes. Neither team shot free throws well, but Schoolcraft outscored the Express, 48-32 in the paint. The Ocelots also edged Owens in rebounding, 51-41.
Garrett led Owens with 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. Cal Edwards added 15 points and five assists, while Tommy Kralovic Jr. had 14 points and six rebounds.
Schoolcraft’s Daniel Hill led all scorers with 18 points. He also pulled down 16 rebounds.
Owens is now 5-7 on the season, while Schoolcraft is 6-6.
